Out of boredom on an Air Asia flight during a LNY short vacation in Northern Thailand, I browse randomly the airline in cabin magazine Travel 3sixty. A headline captures my attention: “Although accessible to everyone, even for those without any mountaineering experience, conquering the Annapurna Circuit in the Himalayas is still a tough endeavor that requires determination and perseverance”. The headline was talking to me, I was certain.
In a few moments I am totally captured by the idea of attempting this Circuit for my 2013 discovery walk. A few clicks on the Internet and the idea takes a more concrete shape. October and November are the best trekking months. There is sufficient ahead planning time to turn the idea into a reachable goal.
Again: shall this be another lonely feat or would it be more fun if I can find someone to come along?
